PRESS-RELEASE
OF THE FOURTH OPEN ALL-RUSSIA POSTER COMPETITION
“RUSSIA. THE THIRD PATH“- 2019
The poster project “Russia. The Third Path” emerged on the Tula land in 2013. Thousands of works from many Russian regions and from foreign countries have been received since. Exhibitions of the best posters took place in many cities around the country, in Moscow, and abroad.
The IV open All-Russia poster competition “MY COUNTRY” is organised using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
The main objectives of the 2019 poster contest are to form and reflect the civic position of the Russians, drawing attention to the pressing social problems of today.
A wide range of topics is offered. Not only about the achievements, cultural and historical heritage, but, first of all, about today's problems, topical issues of the present and future of Russia and the world:
The strength of the country is in the strength of the people!
Caring for the happiness of others, we find our own. Plato
Natural wealth is the property of the people.
Earth is our common home.
It’s no good to fight for cleanliness, you have to besom away! I. Ilf
The content of the posters can be expanded, on the authors’ own initiative, within the framework of the proposed main themes, as well as devoted to anniversaries in 2019-2020.
Foreign guests of the fourth open poster contest are invited to show the peculiarities of their states, national heroes, and reflect on human values and landmarks.
The best works shall be determined based on the competition results by the highly professional jury members, consisting of:
Kamil Zainetdinov –Moscow, Russia. Сhairman of the jury.
Vladimir Chaika – Moscow, Russia.
Yuris Dimiters – Riga, Latvia.
Alexander Faldin – Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
Vladimir Tsesler – Minsk, Belarus.
The third path is an idea that symbolizes Russia's search for its own direction of development. Not to borrow from the European pragmatism or the Asiatic traditionalism, but to preserve the distinctive and shape new self-consciousness based on the mutual enrichment of different cultures. The dynamics of political and economic events require this development and its consolidation in specific ideas, images, and symbols.
The project is carried out remotely via the Internet. On the project website www.tretyput.ru/konkurs-plakata, under the heading COMPETITION POSTER, you can find REGULATIONS of the competition, as well as quotes and thematic publications to help the artists. Here you can also see the posters sent to the contest, find out about the members of the international jury, and get detailed information about the previous competitions of 2013, 2015 and 2017.
Reception of posters extended until October 25, 2019. The laureates will be announced and awarded in November, at the final exhibition in Tula.
